Understand the whole picture first. Then plan together.
The principle behind her care Dr Rachna Yadav, Principal Dentist, Point Cook
The approach

Care that begins with listening.

Dr Rachna works from three simple ideas: treat the whole person, not just the tooth; make sure you understand your options before any plan is agreed; and choose the gentlest route that suits your mouth and your goals.

At Point Cook she works alongside general dentist Dr Amolak Deep. You can meet both on our dentists page.

01 — Examine

Look at the whole picture, not just the symptom.

Crowding, repeat decay, jaw tension and mouth breathing can be linked to habits, airway function or the muscles around the mouth. Dr Rachna looks for those contributing factors, so any plan deals with causes as well as symptoms.

02 — Educate

Explain it the way you'd want it explained.

No jargon and no pressure. Dr Rachna explains what's happening, what the options are and what each involves, until you feel properly informed. The decision is always yours.

03 — Empower

Use the right tools for the job.

Where clinically appropriate, laser dentistry, single-visit ceramics and clear aligners may reduce the number of visits or the discomfort involved. Whether they suit you is decided case by case, after an assessment.

Clinical interests

Where Dr. Rachna's focus lies.

Dr Rachna is registered as a general dentist with the Dental Board of Australia. Her postgraduate training covers the areas below. Suitability for any procedure is assessed case by case.

Laser dentistry01

Laser-assisted gum, root canal and aesthetic care.

Dr Rachna holds a LAHA Master's in Laser Dentistry, with further training in laser gum treatment, laser root canal therapy, gum depigmentation, gum lift contouring and laser whitening. Where it's clinically suitable, a laser can allow more precise treatment and, for many patients, an easier recovery.

Cosmetic dentistry02

Veneers, crowns and smile design.

Training in digital smile design, front-tooth composites and CEREC single-visit ceramics helps Dr Rachna plan cosmetic work carefully. It always starts with a conversation about what you'd like to change and what's realistic for your teeth.

Myofunctional therapy03

Looking at the muscles, the airway, the habits.

Training in oral myology, myofunctional orthodontics, tongue-tie procedures and a combined TMJ, sleep apnoea and myofunctional course means Dr Rachna can talk through how tongue posture, breathing and oral habits may be affecting a concern, and what can be done.

Orthodontics04

Clear aligners, braces and interceptive options.

Dr Rachna is a Fellow in Orthodontics (FICCDE), certified in Invisalign, Clear Correct and Inman Aligner systems, with foundational training through Progressive Orthodontic Seminars. She discusses orthodontic options for teenagers and adults, and early intervention such as Myobrace for younger children where appropriate.

Dental sleep medicine05

Snoring, mild sleep apnoea and bruxism.

Postgraduate training in dental sleep medicine, including coursework with Dr Harry Ball and Personal Growth Events, helps Dr Rachna assess whether a custom oral appliance may suit someone with snoring, mild to moderate sleep apnoea or teeth grinding, working with their doctor.

Facial aesthetics06

Dermal fillers, muscle relaxants & PRP.

Dr Rachna holds an International Fellowship in Advanced Aesthetic Science, with training in dermal fillers, muscle relaxants and PRP therapy. Suitability and risks are discussed in detail before any treatment is considered.

Dr. Rachna Yadav, Principal Dentist and co-founder of Magical Smiles
Why she practises this way

Dentistry she'd want for her own family.

Dr Rachna co-founded Magical Smiles in 2011 to build the kind of practice she'd be happy to bring her own family to: one that takes its time, explains things properly and treats dentistry as part of your wider health.

Her training has taken her through dental lasers, myofunctional therapy, single-visit ceramics and clear aligners. She uses each where it genuinely suits the patient, never as a default.

If something has been bothering you, such as a chipped tooth you notice in photos, a clicking jaw or a child who breathes through their mouth at night, book a time at Point Cook and talk it through with her.
