Not necessarily. Some straightforward cases move efficiently with aligners, while for more involved bites the timeframes are often similar, and some cases are better suited to fixed braces. We can only estimate your timeframe once we've assessed your teeth.
Many dentists suggest a first check around age seven, when a mix of baby and adult teeth makes crowding and bite problems easier to spot. Most of the time that check leads to monitoring rather than treatment. We'll tell you honestly whether to watch, wait or act.
