Coming back is not starting over.
Perhaps your last clean was longer ago than you planned. Perhaps you've been meaning to ask about something in your smile and never got round to it. Both happen all the time, and neither means starting from scratch.
- Your Point Cook history is on file, so you won't need to repeat your story.
- Booking takes a couple of minutes online, by phone, or in the app if you've joined.
- Questions are welcome at any visit, not only at check-ups.
Staying on top of your care.
Four simple habits that make regular dental care easier to keep up.
Book or reschedule your way
Use the online booking page, call (03) 8338 1515, or book through the MyDentist app if you've joined. Whatever's easiest.
Book the next one before you leave
Most people come back every six months. Booking your next clean at the front desk keeps it in the diary.
Keep your details current
New address, phone number or health fund? Tell reception at your next visit, or call or email the Point Cook team.
Mention any changes in your health
New medicines, a pregnancy or a recent operation can all affect dental care, so let your dentist know at each visit.
Regular care, kept simple
It's fine to still feel anxious.
Plenty of regular patients still get nervous before a visit, or put off a clean because a particular treatment worries them. You can tell us about it at any time.
If a visit feels harder than it used to, whether because of a treatment, a memory or a general sense of dread, let us know when you book so we can plan around it. You can also just tell your dentist once you're in the chair. Every step is explained first, and you can ask to pause whenever you need.
If you'd like to know whether sedation could help with a particular treatment, ask your dentist. Suitability depends on your health and the procedure.
Sedation is only considered after an assessment of your health history. Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.
Still at your pace
Regular cleans that give something back.
Frequent Smiles adds complimentary whitening gel top-ups to the six-monthly hygiene visits you already keep. There's no subscription.
At your next eligible hygiene visit, buy the professional take-home whitening kit (custom trays and gel) once, at half the standard $360 price: $180. Then keep up your recommended six-monthly hygiene visits and collect complimentary whitening gel top-ups each time, while your membership stays active.
There's no membership fee. Members can also refer friends and family through the app and receive practice credit once the person they referred completes a first visit.
Joining as an existing patient
*Teeth whitening is a cosmetic procedure. Results vary from person to person, and a clinical assessment is needed to confirm it suits you. Program terms apply; see the Frequent Smiles page for full details.
Ask about it at your next visit.
Veneers, Invisalign, braces, implants, crowns or whitening: if one of these has been on your mind, a Smile Makeover Consultation is the simple way to find out more.
Existing patients can book a Smile Makeover Consultation too. It usually takes about 45 minutes: your dentist looks at your teeth, listens to what you'd like to change and uses the history already on file to explain what's realistic. There's no obligation and no pressure to decide on the day.
If you go ahead, you'll hear the options and costs before anything starts. Afterpay, National Dental Plan and SuperCare can help spread the cost where you're eligible.
Individual results vary, and a consultation is needed to assess whether any cosmetic or orthodontic treatment suits you. Any surgical or invasive procedure (such as dental implants) carries risks. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.
